The Paredes power plant was constructed on the Paredes River in the municipality of Sao Pedro do Sul beginning in November 1995 and with operations commencing in December 1996. The plant is equipped with one Francis turbine and has an installed capacity of 3.8 MW with average annual production of 12.2 GWh.
Head is 129m and flow 3.3 m3/s.
